First aid in remote and isolated areas course
The first aid in remote and isolated areas course developed by Sirius is intended for outdoor enthusiasts and professionals to prepare them to be able to effectively and rapidly deal with emergency situations that can occur in remote and isolated areas. The Sirius’ comprehensive, systematic and realistic first aid program includes several courses that can be specially adapted to meet the needs of a given group or organization. Ski Chic-Chocs Inc., which has a Sirius-certified instructor on staff, is thus able to offer outside of the metropolitan areas an introductory course in first aid in remote and isolated areas (16 hours), an advanced course in first aid in remote and isolated areas (40 hours) and a CPR course (4 hours). These courses are primarily given in the classroom, but also outdoors to demonstrate certain intervention practices and for accident simulations.
